A Little Bit About Me!

Hey everyone! My name is Jamie Alu and I am a second year marketing major. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. My family is very important to me, I have an older sister and two older brothers so that makes me the baby of the family! I also have a nephew who I am very close to and nannied over the summer. Now that I am back at school my sister and my nephew FaceTime me almost every day because he doesn't fully understand why I am not with him everyday and misses me! He used to call me "aunt tree" because he could not pronounce my name but now I am finally Aunt Jamie and sometimes "ami". I also have a niece on the way and am so excited! One of my brothers is actually getting married a week after my sisters due date! So October is going to be a very busy month for my family! I am very close to all my siblings and my parents and am so thankful to have them! I also have two dogs that I miss very much while I am away at school! Sadie is 9 years old and she is a mutt, we were told she was a black lab and another breed mix but that was not the case, we know she has black lab in her were just not sure what else! Louie is 7 years old and he is a golden retriever, boarder collie mix! My siblings dogs are Diesel, who is a 175 pound english mastiff, Opie, who is a mutt, and Nanuke who is a yellow lab! I like to say they are my dogs as well. I also recently adopted a one year and six month dog! We are not sure what breeds she has in her, but she definitely has some lab in her! When I adopted her, her given name was Pam, but I renamed her Luna because I didn't think the name Pam fitted her!

In high school, I was involved in many different things, I was on student council, I was a student ambassador, I was in theatre and I was on cheer! I did not do all of these all four years I found my favorites and stuck with those, I was very busy through out high school.

Over the summer, I was a student orientation leader, nannied my nephew and worked at the same popcorn shop I've worked at for over 3 years! I am currently a student ambassador and loving it so far! I am also involved in a sorority through Clifton campus with so many amazing girls and have been able to meet wonderful friends!

In my free time I love to spend time with my friends and go on adventures, car rides or do whatever we decide to do that day. I also love to sing and play the piano and am currently teaching myself how to play the ukulele! When I am home I like to play with my dogs and spend time with my family. I also love finding a good show to watch on Netflix. I am currently watching season seven of the flash! Me and my dad just got done rewatching all the marvel movies in order!
